Thanked: 198Re: Tea anyone ??!!
i don't use teaballs, i use the tea sacks you can buy from most tea shops, i find they allow the leaves to expand great, for that nice strong pot o tea. although i am seriously considering getting the tea ball that looks like the death star, how cool is that.

Thanked: 1160Went down to the Christkindle Market today. They do this every year.Stalls from Germany,Poland,Russia,Ukraine all selling their wares. Beer steins,Matroyshka dolls, woolens and linens and of course the food. I'm going back tommrrow for a loaf of Stollen and some Strudel. Anyway...after having a wonderful repast of Schweinbraten(roast pork) and stuffing with Kraut, blackforest cake and hot cider I did a little meandering and picked up this awesome little mug handmade from Poland. The design is called Mosquito pattern and is one of Polands oldest designs. the circles were the peasant version of the similar Royal circle pattern which was for King Fredrick only. I also got some wonderful Pies from a Danish Bakery stall there. I really like those Europeans from the slavic, nordic, hun tribes ....My kind O folk. Just having some Yorkshire gold(Indian Blend ceylon and Assam) with a little sugar and lemon tonight. Happy Holidays. .........And Mick...I liked the tidbit on the RFD mate. As as for the balls...same goes for the Sack. Don't let the sack soak to long now or it will get bitter. Ho HO Ho !!!!

Thanked: 983Well Steph, You really shouldn't be putting the sack in in mouth, or squeezing the sack for that matter. A gentle caress is all it should take, but in general, just leave your sack alone, let you're balls stay loose, ensuring you whip them out quickly when the time comes, and your tea will never be bitter.

Thanked: 1160Totally agreed....(trying to keep a straight smirk). Whether using large balls or wee balls, always ensure loose packing so that they may swell to proper volume and release their essence without bitterness...........Okay then. I think we've pretty much beat that to death now...moving on...waiter check please !!

Thanked: 1160Oh bother...well I said I wasn't going to get a teapot as I really don't need one...ergh....but I can't help it. I'm gonna get a .7 liter Polish teapot to match my mug. Yep.....someday when I'm old I'm gonna move somewhere in Central or Northern Europe and live a folksy old provincial Hobbit life . Wear a nice old wool vest and peasant hat, live on Hot pots ,Pies and porridge, drink tea and smoke my pipe and just not give a damn anymore.........or .....work till I'm falling over dead one of the two. I like to keep cynically optomistic heh......
