Ok, we are both right according to the oxford dictionary on line.
Scon pronciation is more associated with the north of England, and or working class folk.
Scone pronunciation is more associated with southern England, and or more gentrified folk.
Though the word originates from the scots word schoon, so the scon pronunciation is probably closer to the original word.
So? You stand corrected then? Being a Scots word originally, and not the b@stardised Friesian language that you speak? :p Sorry mate. I hope I didn't just over step the mark. :)

had proper proper posh afternoon tea from here Howick Hall Gardens in Northumberland. The home of Earl Grey and our historic coastal gardens : The Earl Grey Tea House today. the home of Earl Grey whom the tea is named after. being a geordie its pronounced scon. with cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam with what else but a pot of earl grey tea with a lemon slice. for afters i had courgette cake laced with pistachios. yum yum. phone died so no photo sorry gents.

They call 'em biscuits over there, and biscuits are called cookies. Weird huh? Silly Americans :p
