Cooked the darkest meat long and somewhat high, and the lightest meat quick and low, served with mushroom grits and the rest of the bottle of duoro from yesterday.

I won't be foiled this time. Not like the last time, with the well-deserved tar-and-feathering.
I've already prepared the bacon, and am boiling the water for the pasta.

And here it is: tonight's incarnation of our Fettuccine alla Carbonara.
I topped my plate only with some chopped mushrooms and black pepper.
It turned out great! The appropriate amount of creaminess.
And the whole family enjoyed it.
Bacon does make everything better! :y
