Just got a bottle of Balvenie 12 year old Single Barrel. Non chill-filtered and 48 + % alcohol. Dee-lish!

I've tried it the other day and I agree it's a great bottle. I love the Balvenie line up

I know he doesn't have either of these bottles at the moment. I was leaning towards to quarter cask because of the lower price, but is the Lavaulign really that much better?

Any comments will be welcome thanks guys.
    Lower price than what?
I happen to love the Laphroaig QC, but I like them raw and smokey.

I don't know if Lagavulin is "That much better." Some people may not like Lagavulin, or may prefer other whiskeys more. But if someone brought me a bottle of Lagavulin, well, they'd be a special friend indeed.

It's too hard to figure out his tastes lol I'm just gonna flip a coin. He'll enjoy it either way lol.

As for myself I'm enjoying some of the 12 year old Balvenie signature. I picked up a bottle today. Decided to treat myself to a new bottle because it was a hard and lousy day. Nothing like coming home and being able to relax with a good drink. Especially if you're coming in from the cold and rain!

Cracked open my A'Bunadh (batch #44) tonight. Man, that stuff just never, ever disappoints!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Please let us know, I have seen it but have not stepped.

I have to say this is one of the more difficult threads to keep up with...
