18yr highland park is by far my favorite that I've been able to enjoy.

Three fingers of Caol Ila and an AVO Heritage. Almost a perfect evening!

Have you ever tried Ardbeg? If you like peat and smoke, that one will deliver!

On the Bowmore small batch reserve tonight.

I'm quite into getting samples at the moment and last night I ordered Macallan 10 year old, Ben Nevis 20 year old, Ardbeg Corryvreckan (want to compare this to the Uigeadail, which I really enjoyed) and Yamazaki 12 year old.

On recommendation, I still want to try a Lagavulin 16 year old, but they ran out of samples.

Got my samples plus a complementary copy of Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2010! How cool!

Also keeping my eye out for a proper tasting/nosing glass.

Well I've just been given a bottle of Yoichi 15 year old for my birthday. Excellent whisky—very fruity and floral on the nose, its taste is a little medicinal, nutty with a hint of spice and quite a lot of underlying peatiness, and a lovely coconut finish.

Unfortunately, no picture today -- maybe next time.

I'm wrapping up my weekend with a nice A'Bunadh batch #44.

    Have a great week, everybody.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
