I just poured a dram of Springbank 10 year old. I need to start saving up for my next Scotch. I'm still leaning towards Glenfarclas or Aberlour Abunadh.

Have not. It's pricey here at $160 Canadian. I've read and watched reviews for it and I'm not sure it's for me. I find I'm not a huge fan of anything finished in Sherry. Oily, peaty, and dry is my game.

As a whisky drinking shift worker, I spent my equivalent of Friday night sharing a bottle of Connemara Original Peated Irish Whiskey with a couple of old friends. I love this dram, probably because it's such a 'scotchy' Irish. Goes down dangerously easily, too!

    Take care!

Don't bother looking for this one, you wont find it.... Unless you're in Ontario, cause that's the only place it's available. A sour mash bill consisting of 80% corn, 11% rye, 9% barley. A Canadian Bourbon so to speak. Aged for 14 years in ex Bourbon barrels, so not really a true bourbon style, but the result is a crazy good whiskey. A lot of apple on the nose, oaky on the back end and the finish is almost as long as a good Scotch. The 45% ABV also makes it even more attractive.

    Yum!!

I've got the Distiller app and received invitation to a Glenfiddich tasting here in Seattle. $20 well spent to try these five expressions, eat lots of good snacks, and take home an etched glencairn glass!

First taste of this. Very pleasant, smooth, mellow, tasty. Great finish and not expensive.

We've had a couple of bottles. I think it's really close to Talisker 10 yr old at a much better price point.
