I thought it was just as good/similar to the lagavulin 16, again at a much better price point. I'm new to scotch and what I just said may be considered blasphemy, but it's how I felt..

I have a couple of bottles of this - both remain unopened. Reading this makes me think I should break into it sooner rather than later.

A Canadian Bourbon so to speak. Aged for 14 years in ex Bourbon barrels, so not really a true bourbon style, but the result is a crazy good whiskey. A lot of apple on the nose, oaky on the back end and the finish is almost as long as a good Scotch. The 45% ABV also makes it even more attractive.

    Yum!!

Tonight's a new one for me: Aultmore of the Foggy Moss, Speyside 12 year old. Purchased by the LOTH. Nice, light, and very pale, but with a bite like a lot of Speysides. I look forward to trying this one again.

Sippin on some Quarter Cask before bed. Haven't had a Scotch in a while, so I'm enjoying this one a lot. I'm also hoping it'll help my soar throat, and gross phlegm I have right now that seems to be stuck in my throat.

Last dram of Oban 14 going to be poured tonight. Looks like a new bottle of something may be in the house this weekend...

They just increased the price of Laphroiag quarter cask here in Ontario. Blaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!

Same with all the Lagavulins. I'd like to swear right now.

Nope, check that. Most of the Scotches have an increase in price. Just checked LCBO pricing.
