Along with home brewing i also home roast coffee. The beer thing im good at, the coffee, not so much. Its hard to get an even roast with a dog bowl and a heat gun. Stir with a wooden spoon and cool in a strainer with a fan.
    Ghetto, but it works!

I love coffee but I have aways to go. Mostly using the Keurig single K-Cups. It is for convenience. Across from my office is the good old standby Starbucks. I love their Extra Bold. Of course I drink it black.

I have always been intrigued with the French Press idea but then I read the reviews and sort of lose interest.

French press is the only way to make coffee.
I am so excited for sat and Sunday when i can make coffee in the french press.

I use appx 3tbs coarse ground coffee and heat 12 oz water to right before boiling. Dump it in and wait 5 min. Gentle press to the bottom and pour into a preheated mug. Perfect 9 oz cup. Just dont drink the last ounce.
Full mouthfeel is the greatest part to me.

If you have a hot air popper lying around, try that. It's what I use for home roasting and it works great.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I have looked for hot air poppers but i just use what ive got already. I have done piles of research and decided this method is good enough for me, i only drink like 2# a year.

I really like my behmor. It does the needful very well. The "Smoke suppression" stuff is a bunch of bs though.

If you do the increase in quality will be radical.
