Im currently on Yirgacheffe. My wife picked up a bag for me from a local roaster. They use batches from micro lots so does vary a little. Was only a couple days after roast so perfect to get straight into.

That's one of my favorite coffees, When I was in Ethiopia, that was the biggest benefit of living there for over a year.

There was one year, when I began riding the slippery slope to good coffee, when the Yergh was so good the whole house had the aroma of fresh baked Blueberry pie. Then the gov't took over and dumped all together and good but not great coffee was a result. I am happy that the microlots are now allowed again.
I've had soe good Ethiopian this year.

Had a strange/ wondrous thing happen today. I attended a lecture series at the college I went to. Afterward,I stopped at the Art department shop I ran for a few months, post retirement; and they didn't shoot. I seem to have started something...they now have a automatic,It suites their fancy, in the tiny office; where 10 years back, we only had a salvaged De Longhi pump and I left it to the next folks.

And, you adjust the coarseness of the grind and the brew strength. Had to sample a lot of coffee before I found the right combination that worked for both me and my wife.

I’m sure that somewhere out there, there is a machine that does all this and roasts the beans for you as well.
