Does anyone find that their scent of shave soap/cream plays a factor to your scent after aftershave is applied?

My wife bought me some Boucheron aftershave balm. Has a nice and subtle, somewhat contemporary scent. Also a good moisturizer.

Thanked: 10Wow you guys really have covered just about everything lol. My wife is pregnant with our 3rd and she absolutly hates my Clubman after shave. I think i might be sporting the witchhazel after shave for a couple of months.

Thanked: 1160Good thread, but as so many threads similar to this one have proven...nothing is solved.Oh the irony...or not . So many different approaches to what you like, what others like etc. The never ending saga of Scent. Me...I like my good ol Clubman. Most favorites are Special Reserve and Citrus Musk. Like the Bayrum and Clubman Classic too. And so .........Like sands in the hourglass ,so are the aftershaves of our lives....um......yeah..yeah that's it then.

Thanked: 220I just bought a bottle of Old Spice, it's been years since I've used it. I forgot until now how the scent lasts ridiculously long, all day. The box it came in said "If your Grandfather hadn't worn it, you wouldn't exist!" LOL
My only gripe with it is they should have kept the original glass bottle.

Thanked: 1185Tell SWMBO the only true "old man" smells are beer farts, cheap cigars and Ben Gay But seriously my wife is pretty easy to please and doesn't seem to mind the classic old school scents that are common fair (i.e. Bay Rum, Lilac Vegetal, Clubman, Pinaud Lime Sec, Florida Water etc.) English Leather, Acqua Di Selva and British Sterling are also favorites. For the newer stuff, Acqua Di Gio seems to be a favorite as is CK Obsession. Now for a few obligatory smart ass remarks:
1. Justin Beiber has a cologne out? How good can it really be, he's only had his curly hairs for a week or two
2. Kelp shaving cream at AOS in Dallas!? I thought all the hippies were required by law to stay in AustinThe older I get, the better I was

Try 4711 or pinaud clubman if you will please your wife. Imo use what you like, your wife will get used to it.
After a wile she does not know better.
Good luck.
