It does according to those I have spoke to. A shavette there is not much room for error as compared to a str8. These RA razors are definitely nice razors!

My other RA is just a basic but it is a real nice shaver for sure! I would not part with it for sure.

That's just it.........trying to build up a rotation as well. This is #3 for me and I have a Portland Razor in que and was told it is a roughly 2 months waiting list! That is okay.......now with 3 I won't wear out the Dovo and my other RA

It has been 3 years since I last bought myself a new production razor. I had a great shave today with my new horn scaled Ralf Aust 7/8 Spanish point. Blade has a nice heft and is a very smooth shaver. The fit & finish of the razor as well as Mr. Aust's customer service deserves high praise.

I'm waiting for my Ralf Aust razor now. Should be here tomorrow or Friday at the latest. Can't wait. I have a 5/8 R.A. now. I already have a Dovo 5/8 so decided before using R.A. 5/8 to return it and get a 7/8.

That is a sweet RA Don! I love these razors. Hard to beat them for sure. My cheapest RA with the black acrylic scales is the most consistent razor I have shave after shave. Hard to believe that a just over a $100 razor would be more consistent than a $200+ razor every time. Not that my others are shabby by any means but the basic RA is one I would keep forever right now.
