It has been 3 years since I last bought myself a new production razor. I had a great shave today with my new horn scaled Ralf Aust 7/8 Spanish point. Blade has a nice heft and is a very smooth shaver. The fit & finish of the razor as well as Mr. Aust's customer service deserves high praise.

Thanked: 7I'm waiting for my Ralf Aust razor now. Should be here tomorrow or Friday at the latest. Can't wait. I have a 5/8 R.A. now. I already have a Dovo 5/8 so decided before using R.A. 5/8 to return it and get a 7/8.

That is a sweet RA Don! I love these razors. Hard to beat them for sure. My cheapest RA with the black acrylic scales is the most consistent razor I have shave after shave. Hard to believe that a just over a $100 razor would be more consistent than a $200+ razor every time. Not that my others are shabby by any means but the basic RA is one I would keep forever right now.
German blade snob!
