This razor was originally 7/8, but now tapers to 6/8 at the heel due to a chip, fixed by the previous owner.

Question for the gentlemen at the club...
I have eyes for a #14 doble temple at that massive e-auction site, but this particular specimen have not any etching on the blade, just tang stamps. Looks very good and well preserved, and I am wondering if it was produced without any etching on the blade. There are some #14 Filarmonicas produced without any etching on the blade or this specimen had it removed?

I would guess the etchings were lost in the restoration (either regrind or sanding/buffing of the blade)
    very nice looking blade

Nice looking blade, it looks like it was polished, probably had some superficial rust, that is the reason the gold wash is gone.

I have just achieved a significant milestone in my razor collection, I was able to collect all 6 versions of the Medallon Taurino series in size 14. These are the variants: Banderillas, Muleta, Rejoneo, Capote, Cogida and Estocada. Here are the pics and the case that they now live in:

    Excellent...
The chase may have had a few obstacles but the end result is so gratifying.
    Beautiful collection.
