Greetings my fellows. I recently purchased an antique Boker-made razor from eBay, and I was of course interested about the piece's history. I made an inquire but the seller was not able to give me definitive information about the razor's age. He directed me here, letting me understand that you might be able to help me.

It is a Crescent razor, made for the Logan-Gregg Hardware Company by H. Boker of Solingen. Spanish point, 5/8 Extra Hollow Ground, with original bakelite scales (I understand the nickel silver pins have been replaced)

The seller assumed it to be manufactured around 1900-1920. Can a more accurate estimate be given?

These images are from the eBay listing.

Nice looking razor. I'm sure that Doc or one of the other Boker experts can tell you more, but by the looks of that logo, your razor was made between 1900 and 1924. See the Boker logo history chart below.

    Warm regards,

    Larry

I don't think there is room under for the text, so I'm guessing its the 24-35. But who really knows...

You're probably right, Dylan. I was just going off the style of the tree.

Now that I looked at the markings, I think it's 1924-1935 too. There's no room for the text, and the tree actually looks more like 1924-1935 version rather than 1900-1924. The seller was right about it being pre-WW2 though.

Welcome to SRP Mendicant. That is a beautiful Boker you've got there. Smooth shaving with it.

It's a beauty, even though the tang is a bit robust to my liking. Maybe I'm just fussy... Thanks.

After all these years I finally found a Boker. I like unique razors and I'd not seen another King Cutter like this with an oblique point and horn scales. Thanks to Thomas at Revisor, I now have a Boker.
