Size: 27.2 KBI have only been using a straight razor for about a month now. I started off with a dovo, and it is a good razor. I bid on a torrey on eBay that came shave ready. I ended up getting it for 45 dollars. It was in great condition. Only needed to be stropped. The razor feels much heavier than the dovo and upon using it I was impressed. This is my favorite razor. It shaves extremely well and feels great to hold. I would not hesitate to pick up another torrey and recommend torrey razors to anyone. It was my best investment regarding straight razor shaving.

    Thumbs up

I just found this TORREY club today. Sorry for the bad photo but here are my 4 Torrey razors. All 4 shave like a dream. Torrey's are quality blades all the way. They are not for sale.

I just finished restoring this Torrey...a real nice 6/8, and a Great Shaver. Posted a thread in the restore and custom sub forum if you would like to see more pics: http://straightrazorpalace.com/custo...8-restore.html

    Beautiful. I love Torreys.

    Default Corn cob Torrey

Here's a shot of my latest Torrey. I snagged it on eBay for $22 and when it arrived I was surprised at how nice it was.

    Hey there!
Just picked up a Torrey 5/8" #156 "The Barber" yesterday for around $15.00 In real nice shape & just needed a touch up on my domesic slate hone & a go on my Koken Shell horse hide strop to shave great. This blade is in my top 2 along side my J.A. Schneider & Co. "The Peoria".

I got one! My barber notched Torrey 5/8 arrived today. It was touted as restored and the blade is beautiful, though there's a bit of rust on the tang around the pivot. Now I've got to figure out how to get the rust cleaned up. Couldn't wait, had to shave with it. So this is what a sharp straight feels like! I think I may send it to gssixgun for new scales and a nice buff up. Pics to follow.
