    I think this pair of Nowill razors fit the description of a gentleman's set. I was very fortunate towards the end of last year that they went almost unnoticed on Ebay. Beautiful razors and excellent shavers both.

    My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

    Those are definitely period-appropriate shape. In fact, here is a picture from the Lummus collection with a John Barber razor of around that period, maybe slightly later, but the scale shape is nearly the same:
