I have 7 shavers Mastro and another that will come 'soon. Some are made of stainless steel, and some carbon. They are all amazing but I'll recommend the stainless steel RWL34 'cause it's an invention of the Master who has developed a very sweet and deep and steel that does not rust. If you ask him is his favorite steel. I have 3 in the RWL34, they are fantastic!

Would you say it was a better blade with the RWL34 than the carbon steel blade he offers ?

Well, yes. Given how I told you that all types of steel forged and milled from Mastro Livi are really great, for what it is my personal experience RWL 34 steel is perfect. For sweetness, depth 'cut-and post-shaving has no rival. If you then consider that the wire lasts for years and that does not rust, where you can find a better shaver? The last one I got from Mastro Livi and that you can see in the video is a beautiful damask Razorguy carbon. How to shave? Beautifully answer thee, but every time I have to clean it and sprinkle with oil. It also has a cost of more 'higher than the RWL34. These are all elements that must be considered when choosing a work of art like these. Many consider the lower stainless steel for razors and prefer the carbon steel. I say that carbon steel was better when they had not invented the steel. technology advances and today we have the stainless steel: use it!

This is very true, my razor I linked above is a Damascus and I love it and the one I just ordered is also a Damascus. Though I'm already thinking about the next one I'd love a stag scale razor possibly with either a 7/8 or 8/8 razor. Guess I'm just thinking wether I need to spend as much as a Damascus on the next one. I'm tempted with either the steel or carbon we discussed.

Correct me if I am wrong, but your razor seems to be made from Damasteel, that is a damascus stainless steel. It is not carbon damascus and Mastro Livi makes carbon damascus steel only. Mastro Livi makes razors from stainless damascus steel but he buys it from Damasteel.

Oh ok I thought he made the stainless Damascus himself. What are the benefits of carbon Damascus over the dramateel I have ? I know that the carbon Damascus is very expensive

I agree with what said by Razprguy. I have them both and they are really good. For me it is hard to say which is the best. The difference is only of a technical nature and depends on the steel processing.

Once again it's going to take some serious thinking about what to go for.
I noticed a razor you have which is absolutely stunning !!
Blade: Ergonomic 15/16
Steel: San Mai Double Mastro Livi Carbon Damascus Steel
Scales: Three Colors Amboyna Burl
What is the blade I have never heard of this steel before but the look of the blade is incredible !
You must be one very happy owner
