this is my last razor of Mastro Livi. The "new grind" 6/8 carbon steel of which tells the story of the last video's razorguy. Last night I finally tried on the skin and I think it was one of the best ever shaved. Sweet, deep, soft. A real treat for my skin. If you then add the bay rum after shave that gave me razorguy, you can imagine that enjoyment!!

Lovely razor! I am glad you enjoyed your last Mastro Livi straight razor, not to mention how happy you are for owning the next-to-last of the "classic" or "new grind" Mastro Livi straight razor series.
They all are stunning razors for sure. Thanks for mentioning my Bay Rum after shave: I am very glad you like it and enjoy it.

I am very happy to own an important piece of the history of Italian razor. A story well told that you have in your video and you end up with your beautiful "new grind". Definitely one of the razors most 'beautiful manufactured by Mastro Livi. The handle is unique! It 's difficult for me to say which of my Mastro Livi's razors is the favorite. Every night is a real problem for me when I have to pick just one.

You were all so right the Rwl34 is amazing wonderful shave. This is the biggest razor I have used and yet it's just glides across my face. Especially using my Martin De Candre shaving cream =D

My second razor is very special and the first of its kind.
This is the very first Snake Razor Mastro Livi has made below an 8/8!

    6/8 dama Damascus steel
    Satin finish
    Blue buckeye scales

    Congratulations Samadam!
Really stunning razors! Not to mention the blade of the first one reminds me about something.... maybe my Mastro Livi sanmai damascus steel?
Just a word of clarification: Mastro Livi never sells "reground" razors, the so called "classic" or "new grind" really means that; brand new blades never worked or ground by anyone, they are new grinds and no re-grinds in any way!

They are two beautiful razors. The former has the handle and buffalo reminds me of my damascus steel, perhaps my favorite!
Steels of Mastro Livi are all virgins and are cut from the blocks that come from the merger of the blast furnaces. The "cutlery Livi" own a machine to get the cutting of steel. You can notice that the razor will increase your performance with the passage of time. This is a test. Congratulations on your new arrivals and taste in the choice. Beautiful also the leather sheath. I had never seen before!

OK, so I received my Mastro Livi classic/new grind yesterday and got to shave with her today. Holy Buckets, what a fine, fine shave! Great shape (with a Spanish point), balance, craftsmanship...I absolutely love everything about it.

My question for the experts and those who own both the ML new grinds AND the custom ML's: How do the new grinds compare?

Because if the newly forged ML custom razors are any sweeter than this new grind, a new ML custom is my next purchase...
!! Enjoy the exquisite taste sharpening sharpening taste exquisite smooth. Please taste the taste enough to ride cutlery.

Congratulations Mike, I'm very happy for you, I can understand you! I hope soon to be able to see photos of your new razor "new grind".
I own some of Mastro Livi's razors and shavers are all sweet, shave and leaves the skin perfectly relaxed. Among those in stainless steel, RWL 34 is great but also the new production inox has the same characteristics of RWL 34 and is more 'sweet. Those products with steel damasteel are more 'hard on the skin but still very effective. Masterpieces made with damascus carbon steel are definitely the most that you can expect from a Mastro Livi's razor. At least this is my opinion.

    Have a good day!!
