Great video and what a beautiful razor! Do you happen to know how much pressure the Mastro uses when he is honing? It is difficult to tell from the video.
Thanks!

I am currently awaiting this beauty:
7/8 Twisted Damascus with Juniper wood scales
Unfortunately, local customs officials are currently admiring the Mastro's craftsmanship

Thanks. I agree with you regarding the sensory experience from the wood scales, at least Mastro Livi's. My first Mastro Livi razor is a 5/8 damasteel blade with a spanish point and amboina scales. I could quite happily smell the scales all day!
I'm sorry....I forgot where I woke up this morning

They all smell like the woods but you'll see and feel the wood of juniper has a very strong and pleasant scent that envelops you while shaving. I also brush Mastro Livi with the handle in the same wood and I like to use it with soap or MDC Lucien Le Pere. The scents of lavender and thyme with the juniper while I shave, are magnificent!
Among other things, you have to know that some woods typical of Central Italy such as juniper or just olives are collected from Mastro Livi which then stabilizes them and processes them as only he can do.

The juniper wood is very aromatic with hints resinous very pleasant and sweet. It is used to make aromatherapy, with its fruit liqueurs can be made to hang or put the game meat. Who knows that he loves grilling steaks cooked in the coals of juniper are delicious. Since 'is a very hard wood is ideal for inlay work like the scales of razors. You'll see you're gonna love 'a lot!
