Antonello Hello, I'm happy to see me in this video that reminds me of all the emotions experienced in the workshop where the air is scented with pure art. You gave me a scepter a little 'heavy. I am a collector of razors Mastro Livi, this is, but the most 'important of the world is perhaps excessive. I see here that there are many friends who proudly possess these masterpieces, all beautiful and unique. That's' cause even if I don't know English well, when I enter here I feel at home. Thanks again for all your availability 'and kindness and congratulations for the video!

Good day to all friends of the club, today I want to present a new jewel has been added to my collection: Kamisori left-handed stainless steel hacapella with mammoth ivory handle. It 's the first and only Japanese razor that I own and it is also the first shave with this fascinating tool. The windchill was great, the perfect cut like razors for all of Mastro Livi, I miss but 'still a lot of experience! It will be a pleasure for me to continue to gain experience with this magnificent instrument, hoping not to get too bad!

thanks Antonello, this razor is just really nice that looks more like 'a guillotine! For this reason I started using it very cautiously, but without fear. I think I will have to 'improve the technique but they are very pleased with me. The shape of the razor, type of steel and precision of Mastro Livi have generated a genuine and relentless war machine! Also you should know about this tool!

I too am very happy with both of my Mastro Livi kamisoris and the one made of Damasteel is absolutely keen! I am sure you will get better at using a kamisori: it just takes time and patience but the reward is absolutely worth the ride. Do not give up and remember a kamisori is not a straight razor. This means they must be used differently and with a "different mind". Do not give up!

Is Mastro Livi happy to have any client visit to watch him make their razor? Id love to do a trip next year to get a razor made, watch him work and see a bit of Italy at the same time.
Also, of the steel he works with in Damascus, what is the most rust resistant yet still a fine shave? It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

Mastro Livi always welcome clients to his workshop and he is always happy to show them the making of their razors. There are many Mastro Livi clients in this forum - including myself, of course - who went to Mastro Livi workshop and watched the making of their razor. It is a wonderful experience, something I personally witnessed for every razor I ordered to him, with the exception of my very first one as I did not know he allowed clients to watch the making.
If you need help with the language, I will be very happy to help you and take you to Mastro Livi workshop for a visit. I am lucky enough to live not so far from his workshop.
As for steel he works, I guess you should follow the basic and well known guidelines for every steel: carbon steel, which is very prone to rust, should be treated properly and, of course, Mastro Livi steels are no exception to this rule.
If you really want a rust resistant steel, I guess you should choose a stainless steel and Mastro Livi has many of them, including Damasteel, a damascus stainless steel, very keen and effective in shaving.
However, if you really want the best artistic expression from Mastro Livi, I think you should get a carbon damascus steel personally made and forged by the Mastro himself. It is however a carbon steel and, as such, it is prone to rust and you should properly wipe it after use and use few drops of oils in order to protect it. Just like any other carbon steel razor. The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+
