Thank you! I am very happy with this new razor! Damascus pattern is amazing, with a "wood pattern" making a perfect match to the pattern of the scales. Not to mention how I like juniper scales! It has such a pleasing aromas and it seems to smell juniper berries or some delicious and yummy stew Umbrian style! (Yes, here in Umbria we use juniper berries in cooking not to mention for making absolutely fine liquors!)
However I admit the picture don't do justice to the beauty of the scales. They have a finer and smoother shade, from pale ivory to red. I thought it was a perfect match with this dark Damascus steel. Love it!
Agree 100%. Mastro Livi is a master in his craft. He made an extra hollow ground and he completely made that by hands! Just a grinding wheel and bare hands!!! To me it is amazing how he can possibly do that just by hands, but I know and can tell he does! I guess the thickness of the blade is even thinner than a double edge disposable blade. A work of talent, art and pure craftsmanship! Mastro Livi rules! The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

Thanks Antonello, you know that Mastro Livi is preparing a razor for me with the wooden handle of juniper. And he is also preparing a brush with the same wood. Juniper has a magnificent scent in the woods, roast meat and even when you make a beard now! I'm glad that you chose this precious wood!

congratulations on the purchase of the complete set. The brush is wonderful, the strop will prove 'a valuable friend to the razor's edge. The razor with stainless damascus steel (I think seeing the photo) is ruthless and cut everything in front of you!

Stefanosup, every time I think I've seen Mastro Livi out do himself, I see a new razor he's created and am blown away anew by his craftsmanship and artistic eye. This last razor of yours has absolutely raised the bar. Quite simply, the colors of the steel and the scales are magnificent...
That is absolutely amazing...Mere humans could try this about 100,000 times without success. Mastro Livi does it as if he is a living breathing precision CNC machine. Incredible...!! Enjoy the exquisite taste sharpening sharpening taste exquisite smooth. Please taste the taste enough to ride cutlery.

Thanked: 522To anyone thinking that they might like to own a Livi blade, allow me to attach a key word to my hardy recommendation, "Heavy duty". Sell some razors and get a Livi. You won't be sorry. Going out on a short limb, I will say it is just about my best shaver.
