As some of you have stated, I too have a 5/8th round point Dovo Str8 in "Best Quality" AND with genuine white plastic handle!! love it!! I bought it new from SRD about 2 years ago and only have had to hone it up once, not bad. Always gives a great BBS, very smooth.

I have three Dovos in my rotation.
2 "en vogue" Black Micarta
1 "Prima Klang" in Violet wood

I started razor shaving with a 6/8" Dovo Best Quality. A very nice starter one. Them I "won" a 5/8" Inox ebonywood scales. Nice razor too. Here a pick.
Before this I found this other one, somewhere in Praha.
Now I'm only interested on 6/8" or more, so my eyes are for the Special Tortoise, Bismarck o Renaissance.

I started with Dovo Shavette and graduated to the Dovo Bismarck 5/8" Spike Point from SRD

I only have one Dovo (so far lol), the Best Quality 6/8 with black plastic scales. It's my favorite straight razor.

Chip, my first (and still only) razor is a Prima Klang. Because everyone makes such a big deal out of how "different" that blade is, I'm a bit afraid of trying a different grind. Guess I'll just have to get another DPK. I love that thing!
