Well I tell you pixel, it better, cause if it doesn't, I'm sending it to you, along with a bottle of Maple Syrup and a Toque!

It's on it's way to Valery at the Gentleman's Den to make sure the pins are tight, it gets a cleaning and a fresh honing...looking forward to trying it.

When I was having coffee with Valery, mentioned to him about the Palmera being one of the few "belied" grinds...I know what it is, never seen one, Valery was very interested to check it out.

Why are these razors so hard to find, so rare?

It's the same as it goes with any exceptional relationship. They don't come along too often, and those fortunate enough to cross their paths are unwilling to let them go.

@zozo: Yes, the Size is after Restauration, before it was a bit less than 8/8".

@ Rockabillyhelge: how does the shaving sensation compare to other 14's that didn't have a saw edge?

    Kindest regards, Jazor

@Jazor: Hope that there is no misunderstandig, the Saw-like Edge was the condition when it arrived, now the edge is just like it has to be, straight and continous. The Character while shaving is similar to a Doble Temple Fili but the blade isnt so rig like it is with the Fili. The Rader shaves soundfull and with a nice backbone, a typical No.14 Allrounder :-)

    Default Königin???

Could any of you tell me about the maker/origin of this blade? It's a beauty, no doubt! The tang reads, Königin 14.

You might want to follow this thread which is currently debating the controversial origins of the #14 blade.
The shape of the blade looks strikingly similar to the Imperial and Especial # 14 razors under the Jose Monserrat Pou brand.
