Thanked: 127Heres my new No.14, a french "Au Kabyle" from Riviere, Thiers :-)
Its 8/8" and has a 3/4 hollow Ground, shaved with it today and yes, this is it, i love it!
It shaves not comparable to the Filis, Raders etc. but in a unique way for a 14, the Blade ist thick, heavy and
has a ring that sounds more like church bell instead of the Filli-Kitty-Ring :-)
But having this 14 was more than luck, after im not very happy with my Rader i looked for a Schulze or a Herder 14,
but when i saw the Kabyle for a very reasonable price as a BIN, i had to grab it.

Rockabilly that's a sweet looking razor. I love the green scales bro! Also, it's cool how you compare and contrast different #14 blades.

This is like my favorite thread by far! Anyway, I recently grabbed my 2nd CUF 14 made in Solingen. I'll post pics when it arrives.

Thanked: 127Thank you all :-)
Yes, the Grind is different two most of the other 14s that are much thinner, but the performance is a bit better for me, its a bit heavier and the Blade seems optimized for hard beard, the Razor cuts exactly the way like i like it.
I forgot to say, the Scales are possibly made of Acrylic-glas (dont know if thats the right word i english) and original, the pins are made of Steel by using alpaca washers, i guess this razor was made in the 50s/60s.

Thanked: 127@celticcrusader: I agree with what you say, 3/4 Hollow was wrong written by me, its more 1/2 hollow, its hard to see but there is a belly ca. in the half of the second half. I look if i can make some better pics (my cam´s not the best).
