New in box Filarmonica 14 Novodur. It was actually sealed in it’s cellophane (?) bag inside the coffin. You always wonder if someone just bagged an old razor, but the seller is a friend and the razor has no spine wear, a terrible (factory, lol) bevel, and is cosmetically 100%. Surprisingly, about half of that awful looking edge would pass HHT in or out. But I slapped a layer of 1 mil Kapton on it and honed from 4k to finish and the first shave was world class.

Steve, looks like the flashers on the French razor are sporting different hats, beanie and baseball cap as opposed to the fedoras on the Kobar. But there must surely be a link.

I think so, nothing else is even close that I’ve seen. Perhaps the ‘flashers’ changed over time, or maybe they changed it a little for export razors? They also used that logo on scales as they did in the above image, if you do Google-fu for images. Some of them had red ‘coats’ it seems.My doorstop is a Nakayama
