@ wyobarbershop: thanks for sharing. It's a beauty indeed.

What's your opinion on the originality of the scales?

It's another # 14 brand I never heard of and a nice addition to our thread!

    Kindest regards, Jazor

Nice, Josh. I don't see the 14 on the tang, but do in the blade. Nice one!
Would not get into that thread recommended above. A bloody mess, IMO.
    Hone it up! Enjoy!

@ wyobarbershop: Königin is the german word for Queen, the Tang Mark looks as it is etched or something similar, speaks for a pasr WW2 Razor alltogether with the Scales that seem original. Are there any other Marks on the Tang or only the Crown and the Königin?

Thank you for your kind words.

I do believe the scales to be original and there are no other markings on the tang. Here's a pic that shows the "14" a little better. It's definitely etched and hard to see.

    My King Pelican #14...

I have wondered about the #14 on the tang... still don't know what it means.

@ Aldwyn: what a nice razor!

This is an example of a 14 that does not look like the usual profile.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Kindest regards, Jazor

    Thanks, guys!

Being a Western Kamisori, it was definitely cut differently. And due to some restoration work to fix the heel, it has a different profile then the rest of the King Pelicans #14s in this thread.

Still gotta wonder about that 14, though!

Yes I can see it's lost a lot of steel plus the etching as all gone they are usually about 7/8 quarter hollow grind, shame it's not in original condition they are very impressive razors.

    Still impressive.

When I got it, I shaved with nothing but for a couple of weeks!
