Thanked: 2209Thanks Tinkersd, I was just suggesting the frown as one possible cause. The only other one I can think of is that the edge has oxidized and the soft steel needs to be honed off til you get back to solid steel.
But, it seems that you have sufficient experience to cover those 2 situations.
The only thing left to check is the width of the blade.

Even if I didn't invent it, I just named it - the Rolls Razor "J-Stroke".
Similar to the stern man's canoe-paddling J-stroke, a J-stroke exectued ATG/final pass with a Rolls is the equal of a guillotine pass with a straight blade. It's half a straight stroke finished with a slip-slide to one side (or the other) - more of an "L" than a "J", really; this stroke reduces hard-to-get-at patches of micro-stubble to BBS."We'll talk, if you like. I'll tell you right out, I am a man who likes talking to a man who likes to talk."

Ik heb geen idee. Ze staan vaak op ebay, ik denk dat het goedkoper is qua verzendkosten als je er een van iemand uit de VS koopt,

I have a few Rolls laying around but never had success getting them to work.
Finally spent some time honing and stropping one today with the included hone/strop then gave it a go...
...Lathered up with some Castle Forbes Cedar Sandle and away I went
First pass was a little rough trying to find the proper angle but not all that bad.
Second pass was much better!
I dared for a third pass and ended up with a very smooth shave.
I'll stick with it for a week to see how well it does.

I have one that I won off ebay, the blade was in need of a little work, took it through my normal straight honing process and it now shave great, still a bit scarier to use than a "real" straight but does a fine job. I suggest if you have one and haven't tried it yet, to give it a go. they are really not bad at all
