Just got an Imperial No. 2 in the mail Saturday will post pics soon. Haven't had a test drive yet but it looks like it has seen VERY LITTLE use if any. Can't wait to try it!

Thanked: 9Every time I see something posted about a Rolls razor, I get mine out and try to sharpen the thing, but to no avail I get a dull edge!
One day I will keep trying, til I get it right. Mine is a Viscount model with 2 Sheffield blades. I remove guards, try to set bevel on 1K King and then onto Norton 4/8. Still no hope! I bet it was a wonderful shave when new!

Thanked: 9Thank You, UAcowboy, I tried the marker test and set a bevel on this little rolls blade on a King 1k and did 40 circles on the Norton 4/8 k heavy, med & light pressure on 4k side and 20 light butterfly strokes on 8k side and darn if the thing really gave me a real smooth shave this am! I did not even remove the flopping guard. It is like using a straight razor on training wheels, ha!!
Thanks again, this will make a good travel razor.

Thanked: 9Thanks again for info. To sum it up , I think the Rolls Razor Kit is like a "portable straight razor" & hone /strop maintainence kit altogether! Someone should start to re-mfg. these things! I wonder what grind? looks to be a full hollow to me? Just gussing
