Just got an Imperial No. 2 in the mail Saturday will post pics soon. Haven't had a test drive yet but it looks like it has seen VERY LITTLE use if any. Can't wait to try it!

Every time I see something posted about a Rolls razor, I get mine out and try to sharpen the thing, but to no avail I get a dull edge!
One day I will keep trying, til I get it right. Mine is a Viscount model with 2 Sheffield blades. I remove guards, try to set bevel on 1K King and then onto Norton 4/8. Still no hope! I bet it was a wonderful shave when new!

Thank You, UAcowboy, I tried the marker test and set a bevel on this little rolls blade on a King 1k and did 40 circles on the Norton 4/8 k heavy, med & light pressure on 4k side and 20 light butterfly strokes on 8k side and darn if the thing really gave me a real smooth shave this am! I did not even remove the flopping guard. It is like using a straight razor on training wheels, ha!!
Thanks again, this will make a good travel razor.

you are welcome. that is my favorite tool when setting a bevel right now. I got my Rolls to be a travel razor as long as i like it. I will be testing it out tomorrow morning for the first time. Should be fun.

Forgot to mention , I did the 50 strokes on the hone that came with the kit and 50 on the short strop also, thing worked very well, wonder why they stopped making the kits?

Thanks again for info. To sum it up , I think the Rolls Razor Kit is like a "portable straight razor" & hone /strop maintainence kit altogether! Someone should start to re-mfg. these things! I wonder what grind? looks to be a full hollow to me? Just gussing
