It is nice that i am not alone in this issue!
I love restoring razors and honing them... I guess restoring one razor at a time before purchasing another one will slow you down a bit... Lol! Or do what i do... I switch to collecting/ restoring brushes! Lol and once every a couple of months i get into the gun crave! Lol i know i am not helping

With my taste in firearms, a purchase would put RAD to bed for a long time due to lack of funds.

I can manage somehow. I guess the biggest rush has gone and I am really selective with straight razors. But I have a thing with Heljestrand razors. I have to buy them almost every time I see them. Problem is that in Nordic region Heljestrands are pretty popular and easy to get for reasonable price. Thank God I have started to pay attention about wearness of blade, rust and condition of blade. Thought I bought rusty C.V. Heljestrand No24 and was already thinking about getting different grit sandpapers, dremel and pinning sets but only using a gun oil and wipe I cleaned all visible rust away, little bit metal polish and I had beautiful razor in 20 minutes. So now I am in a point that I know how to restore rusty blade with little effort so now I don't have to be so selective with straight razors, if you know what I mean...

Other problem is that I have a really nice showcase with four shelf I use to storage my liquer. My shaving stuff has started to conquer top shelf and I am this days almost absolutist so I am going to reach point that I have to start give my liquers away or start to arrange really wild parties

My wife took an interest yesterday about my shaving products and asked why I got to into straight razor shaving. I gave him a punch of regular explanations and then really stopped to think why I started shaving with straights when it popped into my head! My wife didn't say NO! when I talked her about getting into straight razor shaving

So when ever my wife is saying that "Really, another sr more?" I can always blame her for my hobby.

I'm a razor freak, eBay junkie but I will tell you like my mentor mrsell63 recently told me. Save your money for buying the proper tools to achieve and maintain a great edge. What good are 1000 razors if you can't get one kick A*$ edge? I guess once you can do that, the sky's the limit!

I guess one could say that I´m addicted. All though I try to keep it under control. It is the same thing as when I was in my younger days an got my first tattoo as a seaman. Next port another tattooist and always look in his window. Always found a new one that looked nice, and that one would sit fine on me.
As I grew older an got stabilized with a family I stopped with this habit.
It is the same thing with str8 razors. I keep saying to my self, it´s enough but i keep looking on str8 razors and I always find another one that looks good and this one I got to have as my last one. I think that it never ends, although I have been more selective in my desire to get another one.

Ok I found a way to limit my RAD. I bought this fountain pen box from amazon it holds 26 razors. That will be my limit.

Why did you have to mention that No I think what I want to do is if I want another razor I will have to like it better than one of the razors in the box so I will have to sell one. I want to be able to enjoy each razor and really get to know it. That gets harder to do with more razors.
