I know you buy a razor that sounds like a deal, you clean it up, rescale it and hone it and they want to give you what you paid for it before you took those big chips out!

I saw that title and had an urge to call the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Pure sacrilege and likely illegal in many countries!

Well for the original poster, take some solace in knowing that RAD abates just a little as soon as you run out of funds and/or blades to trade - temporarily - until like a junkie you manage to raise more funds to buy another fix. So, I guess it doesn't go away really. I managed to lay off of buying razors for about 3 years once - as long as I didn't look at blades that I didn't already have I was fine. That's a dim memory now and I'm glad that's over! Gotta go, there's a few auctions ending in a bit that I want to snipe - 2 of them are for Greaves...

    Bought two more today. dangit.

Report when they get here. I think that makes an even 10, budget razors all. AVG expenditure still well under $20 each.

Hazza - nothing can be done for the RAD - it's terminal eventually. However, abstaining from caffeine after noon is sometimes advisable. The combination of RAD and caffeine is bad - the only worse thing may be caffeine, RAD, and alcohol together.

When u have a 300 razor collection you either...

    A) buy junk
    B) buy crap
    C) collect crap and junk
    D) or if A,B&C DNA then you have alot more money then me.

To each his own I guess, I have seen guys who buy buy buy and have big collections- some people even get their mediocre stuff in junk condition professional restored- the razors come back with polished pits buffed to a pleasant spoon like appearance with a fresh set of scales- I can't help but shake my head.

There is nothing that makes me giggle (to myself) more than someone who pulls out multiple giagantic canvas rolls of razors at a meet filled with razors with extensive honeware and condition issues and starts telling everyone how they can stop buying razors- and they in curable rad. IMO these people have more issues then just RAD.

Last i checked When u were a teenager and you took ugly sue, her friend hairy Kathy her sister weird Wanda and their tag along lousy Laura to lovers peak you didn't brag about how many girlfriends you have to your friends!
