Thanked: 1587I'd probably not say anything at all. Sometimes the absence of praise from a respected person is damning enough. I use it a lot with my students and my dog. Works better than treats.

Having frequently been on the receiving end of the absence of praise, I proclaim this method as demonic.
So you might have a descending list: Praise, damning with feint praise, and absence of praise. If someone posts their idea of the most excellent Kustom Razor, one could enthusiastically praise one small feature e.g., that pin on the pivot end on the show side of the razor is particularly well done. I would never employ this method though, because it's stoopid.Last edited by WW243; 11-26-2015 at 01:43 PM.

Was praise absent enough from my last post.
Surely it is important to post your lack of praise just so the person knows that you aren't praising it instead of simply having missed the thread entirely.
You may even want to quote them so they know it is them you aren't praising, see next post for an example.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
