The first I bought was this Pumacker Black Diamond.. $14 I think...

The first I shaved with was this Genco Master Barber... Again, very cheap!

Last winter, I bought my first straight. A German made "Akron" model from Albrechts's in Akron, OH. I learned how to shave with this one, but it has now moved home. Mike (outback) used to work at the business that originally sold this razor. It had a lot of sentimental value to him so we arranged a trade. I'm glad the Akron is back home in Akron.

I bought this at an antique shop. I didn't know a thing about it, until I started inquirying about it. It wasn't worth a dime! It had a frown and that was the end of it. So I decided to go with a better option for my first, so I got a Dovo Bismarck.

This was the piece of junk I got as my very first, yuk! Every soul I have asked if this can be fix, they say no, so I'm going to really have fun messing with it.

I don't know. Once I was told that it was nothing it could be done, I tossed it in a drawer and that's that. Haven't cared about finding anything else about it.

I have to admit that every single heavy hitter I sent an email with pictures, didn't even care about taking a look at it in person.

So, I'm going to get the stones and I'm going to do it myself.

My great-grandfather's Frederick Reynolds. Sent it off to be refurbished, so got a Dovo from Vintage Blades.

Mines was a dovo best quality 5/8 round point I hardly use it now more into vintage blades. Trying to get other family members into straight razor shaving with it, but currently no takers. Lol
