Gentlemen, the Blue Ranger #111 quickly made its way home. Of course, I'll be taking this one out for a spin around the block tonight.

I hope this won't be off topic
Well . . . not always. I own this beautiful Wade & Butcher wedge that was restored and rescaled by a skilled member of SRP. The material used for the scales is rather flexible so that if you're not careful, what you see in the image below will happen (and yes -- I learned this lesson the hard way).

Thanked: 2Just curious about how some of you have gotten the best edge from this razor. For myself, the edge felt a little crispy. I rehoned it using a Jnat, and it shaved very well, and smoothed the edge a little, but was not as smooth as I liked. Then I said, what the heck, and tried 20 laps on the cro2 (which I normally don't do, as I like shaving straight off the hone), and like magic, it shaved like a demon. Smooth AND sharp. Next time around, I'll experiment with the Zulu to see what kind of edge it puts on this razor. All in all I have to say this razor is a great shaver once you figure out how to get the edge you like.
