I have 10 shaves under my belt with #119. It just gets better with each stropping. I think my technique is finally getting there after about 4 months of using a Straight Razor daily. One thing that surprised me was that the pivot pin loosened up a lot. Stopped by the local Home Depot and got a #5 torx that fit and tightened it up. They didn't have any hex keys small enough. Does anyone know what size hex key I need. I really don't like using a torx for a hex fitting.

Ha, mine is too tight and has stayed that way. It's a 1.3 mm hex key but mine (cheap imported set) twisted the flats right off at the pivot end. The spacer end loosened easily. I hadn't thought of trying a Torx key.. agree that it's not the best idea but that may be my only alternative other than carefully machining a slot in the head of the screw.

I also agree that the shaves are great, smooth, and seem to get better each time.

Check your box. My razor came with a hex key taped inside it. If not, PM PapaBull and ask him where you can order one.

Thanks for that. I ordered around March 22nd, so I guess my number is nearly up.
