Favorite razors-opinions and why
We all know lynn loves his doubleduck wonderedge. My favorite razor so far is a GENCO Fluid Steel. They get really sharp really fast and holds that good edge. Also really light weight. And last and favorite thing about them is they are plain jain looking, nothing special, and to sum it up im just gonna tell u guys what I named mine ” ol reliable”.
Thank you,
Swerve

Thanked: 116I've got about 8 shave ready razors now, all oldies but goodies, imho. I just received a 7/8ths razor made from a friodur blank but haven't had much time to shave with it.
With that said, the razor that 'fits my face' best so far is my Stamped SFK Wapienica. It really mows through my thick beard and love the added weight of the stainless scales. We'll see how it plays out though! I've got a nos toyo hasimoto frameback and filarmonica doble temple #13 possibly coming in my direction so they might change my mind!

Thanked: 498I have to say my go to blade is a beat up Sta-Sharp.
Its pitted beyond pitted, with warped scales but I adore it because it cuts like a demon every time. Its always the best shaver I have out of 120'ish razors.
It also holds a bit of sentimental nostalgia for me as well cause its the first razor I ever collected.
I usually cant pass up a Sta-Sharp these days. Love, Love, Love them.

If you are asking 'What is my best shaver and why?' it would have to be a no-name 'Warranted' 6/8 full hollow - so far.
Having said that my new (to me) TI Spartacus is pretty good tooHang on and enjoy the ride...

I don't really have a favorite. For me it's about edges, and edges pushed along by as much steel behind them as possible. All my razors are big, some are really big, but they all shave well.

Thanked: 2284Well, I definitely have started to really like heavier blades. When I got my Wade&Butcher near wedge and shaved with it for the first time, I loved it. The shave was just awesome compared to to other full hollow grounds I had shaved with before. Recently I have acquired a Joseph Rogers which is another near wedge. It has a nice smile and it shaves great. SO I would say my favorite, right now, is my Joseph Rogers.

For me it would be like asking which of your 10 kids do you love the most ...... rhetorically speaking ..... I don't have any kids... but I have a lot of razors.

For me it's my 6/8" Half-Hollow Dovo "Best Quality" mainly because it is the only razor I own at this time; that is subject to change as I get more of course.

I use a DOVO prima klang. I am so content with this piece of shaving steel that I do not feel the urge to try another one.
Of course this is a narrow minded vision. If possible one day I will buy a good old US made razor. And perhaps at that time I will come to the conclusion that I should have done this earlier.
