This morning I went to Mastro Livi workshop and, as I entered his shop I had the magnificent view of the display in which were neatly and lovely arranged the razors you see in the below pictures. It seems Mastro Livi has lately focused in making special scales with beautiful inlays made of many materials.
I would like to share with you all this lovely view I had: I hope you will enjoy as much as I did!
They are all beautiful and, to me, the chequered scales are a truly lovely work of art! Also beautiful the middle inlays in which Mastro Livi hand signed his works: they are made of mother of pearl and mammoth ivory.
I am thinking about the lucky owners who will buy those razors and, as usual, it is so hard to just watch them and not owning them at all!

You know how Mastro Livi is. He does not like to be lazy, he is always thinking about straight razors and how to improve their production. After all, you too have some magnificent scales in your Mastro razors and you know how beautiful they are with those inlays.
Yesterday I saw he is experimenting on new scales inlays and materials and I guess he will make more very very soon. I hope I will have the chance to personally watch them before he sells them! The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

Mastro Livi is definitely an artist and a genius when it comes to the steel of his razors, and when he realizes the handles. But he is a man and a defect I found it: every time I go in his laboratory there is never a razor ready for sale, everyone can see that I'm leaving for the corners of the world! Then I sit down with him at the table and began to tell as I'd like, he took the pen and began to draw, so 'born ruin my family! And so 'continue my collection of masterpieces signed Mastro Livi! Life is really hard!

Thanked: 3164I know what you mean Stefan - I had to wait for nearly four years! It is worth the waiting, though.

I am lucky to live about two hours by car from the laboratory and then my expectation is certainly more 'short. I agree with you, I think we expect to be able to shave with a Mastro Livi's razor worth it.
The problem is always someone who says to my wife!
Greetings to you from Italy!
