Despite you are a bit confused about your new Mastro Livi, congratulations! It is a magnificent razor (and I guess you should also post it in our "Mastro Livi Club" )
Like PigHog said, I would not be in a hurry in selling it. After all, I wonder why you bought it if it was quite similar to the one you already had? That means you liked it and, for this reason, I would not be in a hurry in selling it.
However, I am glad to read you will come to Perugia in September and I am sure you will have an unforgettable time while watching the making of your razor! Not to mention all the remarkable insights you will receive from Mastro Livi about razors and shaving! The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

Thanked: 0I am awaiting my first.
I have ordered the same scales as you (before I even saw this thread" but my Damascus blade is also going to be blue.
I had asked for a French Point because I didn't know about the "Mastro Livi" Point. I have just emailed them and asked if it is too late to change.
What I really loved is that they don't even ask for a deposit when they take a commission. They trust their customer to be good for it. They said they will let me know when it is ready and I can pay then.
Do you only use that razor now?

This is a difficult question! However, it is more 'easy when you see them all there waiting and I do not deny that human preferences. The handle is more 'beautiful, steel more' sweet, first love or maybe a newcomer. In order not to do wrong to none generally apply a rotation stiff enough and I try to use them all the same number of times. In this way, I can appreciate the characteristics of all the razors and especially the wear of the blades over time will be 'uniform.
Mastro Livi is very kind and trust of their customers, do not ask 'money never before completing his work, is his style! I hope that my English is very bad has helped you solve your doubts!

Thanked: 6Dear Stefanosup,
Before I go to Perugia to the Laboratory of Mastro Livi, in September, I will let you and Razorguy know when I will be in Mastro Livi's Laboratory. If you wish to be there and if you are convenient at that day. I really want to meet you. It is a great pleasure to meet the people who have same taste of razor and dont forget we are the members of the same fan club...

It will be a pleasure to welcome you in Perugia! I know I will not probably be in Perugia at the beginning of September, I guess I will be back in the middle of that month.
Talking about our "fan club" it would be great if you both could also post your beautiful pictures in the mastro Livi club thread. I guess everyone would be glad to see them!Last edited by razorguy; 07-17-2014 at 09:01 AM.

Thanked: 6I ,really, am not in a hurry to sell it. A few friends from this forum asked for it though. This morning I have shaved with it for the first time, and it is a real pleasure. Mastro deserves his reputation and every penny he gets.
There are realy good custom razor producers around, even in this forum , they make beatifully designed razors, which look like masterpieces. I don't want to offend anyone and I really am for these guys , Because they are all willing to make good things for Straight razor world and they are making too. But what they don't have and Mastro Livi has is the wisdom of experience of tough years of working with steel.

Thanked: 6Dear Rasorguy I will post the pictures soon,Now I have to learn something useful about the photographing. It will be injustice to post badly taken photos for these beatifull razors. Because the razor I get from eBay is not the razor I see in the pictures. Picture did not tell all the beauty of it.
And my friend, as I understand you travel a lot. If you happen to visit Istanbul anytime, it is a great pleasure to meet you, dont hesitate to let me know.

It will be a pleasure for me to meet you and share the same passion that we have. You can be sure that lighthouse 'everything possible to be free when you come to Perugia. If there will be 'even Razorguy we'll have it!
One nice thing that happens in the workshop is that they often meet different people who come from all parts of Italy and the world, and everyone loves that place. There is talk of steel, razors, food, wine and many other things. Days truly unforgettable. Do not forget that Mastro Livi also builds for barbers scissors, knives chef, and a great variety 'of other tools often customized to the needs of those who must use them for work or hobby. I love to sample his knives and his scissors.
Have a good day!
