Oh, the shave. It went very well. I put the Faulding ‘Shave’ cream in the bowl and then spied the sample of TOBS Rose, so thought I’d mix them and see what transpired. It worked well. I’ll have the try the TOBS Rose by itself tomorrow.

carl, i have found the fauldings a bit dryer than the maca root cream when mixed with a hard soap, do you find that too, or is it just me? Not that I mind, just trying to work it out.

Sometimes I think a razor is like a good woman, you have to work at it a little to get a great edge. The Aiku did not disappoint today with a super smooth 3 pass shave.

    Prep: Lukewarm Shower
    Razor: Gem Micromatic Open Comb
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Soap: Tabac
Post Shave: Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    Finish: Aqua Velva Musk

I'd forgotten how good a single edge shave was. This razor is special because it is the founder of the feast. This was my first real razor when I started wet-shaving seven years or so ago. Needless to say, my first few shaves were a bit rough but after watching Manic's videos and lots and lots of practice it just seemed to take off from there.

Thank you. A few members including Glen had good words to say about the Hess 44 and I can say it does not disappoint shave wise too.
