Thanked: 431Thanks rum, yes I made some really hot water to use in my scuttle and I did remember that it said that so I first swished the blade around in the hot water just to be sure and follow the complete instructions, I also massaged the cream into my face for a bit both times just to try it, I like that too.

Continuing on with the Henckels...
Prep: Hot shower w/ CarrieM's Sleigh Ride Bath Soap (Sounds obscene in the shower)
Brush: C & E Super Badger - a paint brush in size
Strop: Linen and Roo
SC: CarrieM's BRV (Black Raspberry Vanilla)
Razor: J.A. Henckels Platinum 5/8's squire point
AS: Pinard Clubman
All I can say id from ear to ear. That large brush really filled the shave den with the Black Raspberry Vanilla and a great shave to boot!“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

Razor: Kanetake Takahashi
Brush: Simpson t4
Lather: C.O. Bigelow
Aftershave: Spanish Floid
Well, I wanted to post a pic of the Kanetake, but after looking at my shots I realized that I focused in on the brush not the razor. I'm really enjoying shaving with my Japanese razors and there's definitely a different feel to each one of them.
