Razor: 11/16 Packard Full Hollow Spike Point in Butterscotch
    Shaving Cream: TOBS Almond
    Lather Bowl: Ceramic
    Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
Brush: Col Conk Barbershop BadgerASB: Nivea Replenishing
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman ASL

Wonderful BBS shave this morning! Love the Packard, always smooth, close and comfortable! The TOBS Almond SC was a delight as well. TOBS is one the the best shave creams I have used and the cushion and glide makes for a very comfortable shave. The almond scent is very mild and would be great for those that do not want a lot of scent. Still have two more SC's to experience from Sir Ralfy's sample pack. Every day is a new and great experience!

    Default Thursday shave

Had a nice relaxing shave today, dont know how many passes i did i just kept lathering my face over and over and went at it until there was absolutely nothing there which is something i dont normally do.

I think i ended up doing 4 passes:
    North to south
    West to east
    East to west
    South to north

So needless to say the face is just a bit red in some spots because im not used to some of the angles and blade possitions i went through today

Strop: 3" Black latigo and poly web, 1.5" Blue web(50 poly/100web/100leather)
    Razor: Le Grelot 6/8
    Brush: Omega 05
    Soap: L'Occitane
Aftershave: Niveam Balm/Very Sexy for Him

The W&B handled so nicely. I got it back from Stefan yesterday. He put a mirror finish on the blade and suited it up in gorgeous black & white ebony with a CA finish. The wedge is ebony with brass liners and the washers are silver and brass stacked. She is stunning. I'm finding my sweetspot runs to full hollows unless I have a few days growth, but she will definitely be in the rotation!

The HSB "OVB" was my first attempt at honing. I bought it supposedly shave ready, but didn't like the shave. When I looked at the edge under a microsocope, I saw why. I took it to my Naniwa 1K to reset the bevel and then broke out my nakayama. After a progression of slurries to a clear water and then dry, it had a nice keen edge. My test today proved successful, ATG on my right cheek was never as smooth and effortless!

    Hey Bill,
Congratulations on your venture into the world of honing...How was your foray into the dark side? How did you like it?

PS: Isn't the uberlather a great way to prep for a shave?
