Well...Thanks guys. I guess that settles it in my mind. I was "slowly" looking for a Torrey, but aside from this, I will now have to be on the lookout for a Gotta

    Thank you both gentlemen.

Would you want it to? Then what would you do for fun? And what would Liza have to get mad about...

    Default SOTD

While showering, my Sunbeam soup cooker is heating my mug.
A few quick dips, and shakes, and my bristle brush is loaded with our own CarrieM's custom Sassafras shave cream.
The blade of the day is an unusual 1" Bengall wedge.
    Royall Lyme aftershave.

p.s. I have been unable to find any references to age this razor. A little help please. Reads 'cast steel' on tang. PM

Liza is an Angel . I have never seen her get mad about RAD or SCAD or BAD (or anything else for that matter)...She epitomizes "Cool-ness". She gets a kick out of what we do (RAD and all), but not mad.

I am looking for someone else to save me from myself . We desperately need a support group for this thing

    Wink Creating Special Effect Images

SOTD is one of the most frequented threads and we should do a good job when we post pictures.
Another thread would be fine. Robert, do you have an idea for a title?
In the german forum the best photographers create in this time an calendar for 2011 with pretty nice pictures.

    Robert, I'll give you support!
    Hi Tom,
I came up with this PDF document/tutorial that outlines what steps I took in creating the "special effect" image for Today's (i.e., Thursday) SOTD. There were too many screen capture shots to justify posting and hijacking this thread...hence, the simple PDF . I hope I have not missed anything. Give it a shot and see if it works using your favorite image...you can be the guinea pig in trying this out. Let me know if something doesn't make sense or doesn't work.

    Here's the attachment:

    Special Effect.pdf

Looking at hearing your (and others') feedback
