How was that TI you used today? It's a pretty looking razor!
This TI was actually a B-day gift I had given dad for his 84th birthday...he used it a few times, but wasn't too crazy for str8s and wanted to stick to his DE shave...so, long story short, he sent it back my way (I got him a slant bar in exchange). I refreshed the edge a bit using the 8k and 12K Naniwas and gave this baby a test drive...Boy, do these things take on a mean edge...Jeeezz, almost cut myself!!!

I also love my DD spec#1...great shaver.

Don't worry...I wasn't criticizing the picture. I was viewing the post on my work computer (when I inquired about the image) and no image showed up (which I thought was strange) but then remembered that they filter some content at work (and depending on how images are uploaded, I guess, it sometimes does not allow me to see it some pictures).

But, once I viewed your post using my iPhone, there it was. Plain as daylight. I like the image very much

    Thanks

The W&B handled so nicely. I got it back from Stefan yesterday. He put a mirror finish on the blade and suited it up in gorgeous black & white ebony with a CA finish. The wedge is ebony with brass liners and the washers are silver and brass stacked. She is stunning. I'm finding my sweetspot runs to full hollows unless I have a few days growth, but she will definitely be in the rotation!

The HSB "OVB" was my first attempt at honing. I bought it supposedly shave ready, but didn't like the shave. When I looked at the edge under a microsocope, I saw why. I took it to my Naniwa 1K to reset the bevel and then broke out my nakayama. After a progression of slurries to a clear water and then dry, it had a nice keen edge. My test today proved successful, ATG on my right cheek was never as smooth and effortless!

    Pre: Shower
    Razor: W&B India Steel
    Brush: Ikon chubby silvertip
    Soap:Omega
    Post: Proraso
    AS: Old Spice Musk
    Result: Very, very good one
This blade is funny, it´s an extra hollow one, but heavy like a wedge, stiff like a wedge and silent like a wedge. But boy did she give a killer shave today, smooooth and super clean - Neil Miller put an extremly nice edge on her.
