Great two pass shave to BBS this morning. Dvorak provided a great soundtrack while the uberlather with the Proraso and BB was slick and provided great cushion. The Rex just keeps on sliding through the whiskers, and the skinfood is sublime. When you top it off with a spritz of the BB cologne how can you feel like anything but a gentleman ready to take on the world?Last edited by LegalBeagle; 08-12-2010 at 11:38 AM.

Week of August 8 SOTD - Thursday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower + fresh lemon juice + Stephan's Smooth Conditioning Shaving Creme Razor: 5/8" Thiers-Iassard Eagle Brand, Full hollow, Spanish Point Brush: 25mm Vestavia Silvertip Badger Creme/Überlather: Al Raz Da Bomb Custom Shave Creme Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel Post-shave: Nivea Sensitive Skin Cologne: Penhaligon Endymion Facial Moisturizer: Dr. Hauschka's Quince Creme Facial Moisturizer Result: Super smooth, BBS shave .
I had a wonderful shaving experience today, which was ALL about Al's Shave Creme.
Lather (Al's Da Bomb) - Yesterday, I received my custom shaving creme from Al, which by my request, was formulated with the scent of cloves, orange and a hint of cinnamon. Also by request, this SC is a bit denser than the new SC formulation. I LOVE the scent and the type of lather (i.e., more like überlather) this thing makes...which was not difficult at all (contrary to what I imagined), but required a bit of experimentation to figure the right amount of water. The consistency, cushion and glide that one gets from this SC are out of this world (definitely better than the new formulation, IMO). Thank you Al
Shave (Thiers Issard) - I don't know why, but I instinctively opted for my Tiers-Issard for testing Al's creme. And it delivered nothing short of a clean, smooth shave throughout the process.
Have a great Thursday guys .

I hate to wish my life away, but the dreaded month of August is almost halfway in the can, and the Omega SC certainly helps to cool things down!
The Master Barber's capabilities exceed my own at weilding it. The Pound puppy shows a few stray whiskers, but not me after today's shave!

THURSDAY SHAVE
PREP: Hot shower with face conditioner scrub
RAZOR: Genco "old dutch"
BRUSH: Tweezerman
SOAP: Alraz's the bomb in "sweet neroli"
ASTRINGENT: Thayer's Superhazel
ASB: Aqua Velva ice balm
AS: Aqua Velva
EDT: Azzaro "chrome"
RESULT: Fantastic!!!!! I own about 6 Gencos and i sure do love this American steel. These razors just pop hairs off my arm/whiskers practically before i even put it to my skin. Also u dont have to pay an arm and a leg to own one. These razors should be in everyone's SR arsenal.
