Awesome shave after a 3 day growth. Bob Allman scaled and reground this Butcher and she is a plow!. I would have been plenty happy with just a single pass but after 2 my face was sticky smooth! Great start to the day.
Happy Birthday, Phil! I hope the rest of your day was as great as that shave looks and sounds! Now, enjoy a cold one...

Thanks! That's the original scales on that JR. They were re-rejuvenated by Oz by soaking in Neatsfoot oil for 10 days. They are in great shape for being over 160 years old!

    Good morning Gentleman,

today only a picture, no details about shaving.
I took this shot last year in the Everglades.

I decided to continue with the Duck theme:

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Strop: Kanayama
    Razor: DD SatinWedge
Lather: Bomb Custom Scent + Ogallala Bay Rum
    Brush: Shavemac Silvertip
    Post: Thayer's Lavender
    ASB: Bomb Custom
    EdT: Blenheim Bouquet

The little Duck wedge really knows how to go after the whiskers. The combination of Bay Rum with the Petit Grain in the Bomb gave a sublime scent to the gobs of nice rich lather. After just to passes plus touchup, I had a nice BBS!

Off to court, but I hope you gentlemen have a day as fine as this shave was for me!

True about the face. letting you know.
Yes, I continue to use the Vaseline. Actually I use it all the time. I always use it after a shower even if I don't shave. When I do shave, it is the very last thing that goes on my face. It always seems to feed my skin, does not feel greasy (which I hate) and seems to pull everything together. Try it out, you'll like it!! Oh, it is not very expensive either.
