Thanked: 2516Thanks Robert! It's a pre-numbered Heljestrand at 6/8 it is the #32 equivalent I believe.
This Heljie does not have a thumb notch or the MK designation on the shank. I'm not sure what the date is on this razor so if anyone has any additional information on it I would be glad to hear it. Here is a shot of the shank manuf. markings.Last edited by Stroker; 09-10-2010 at 07:29 PM.

Gris Clair Edp
A late afternoon shave with one of my favorite blades. It's been a while since I used the Irisch Moos and it was fun face lathering for a change. Two passes and a couple of touch up passes and a DFS result. The Gris Clair is fantastic...

Bruce,
That is very interesting...I don't think that this is a #32...The reasons are twofold:
1. I have a #32 (with Max now) and it has #32 on the other side of the shank/tang.
2. Also, #32 has a thumb notch.
Unless they made different types of #32s, you've probably got an interesting Helje on your hands. I would want to say #41 (but even that has #41 on other side) but it is thumb notch-less, like yours. Looking carefully at yours, it seems like it's a square point, like the #41, rather than full French point...kinda like the Satinedge DD or something...The #32 looks more like a traditional French point (I think)Last edited by BladeRunner001; 09-10-2010 at 10:21 PM.

Thanked: 2516I don't know what it is. It's not a #32 (there isn't a 32 stamped on it) it's not a MK (there's no MK stamped on it.) What you see is what it is. I said "Equivalent to a 32" (in that it is a 6/8 size blade) The point is a slight French (in that it is not a truely square or spike point) call it what you want.
