After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

    1964 Macys badger
Schick adjustable injector type 'M'/Personna Tungsten 74 (vintage)
    Surrey SS
Lucky Tiger AS and face tonic
    Jean Desprez 'Versaille' Pour Homme

I gotta say.......this is one hell of a razor/blade combo. The adjustable's my favorite, and I'd been using some NOS Personna Twins whenever I got this razor out of the arsenal. Those were the best blades I'd tried and I have a small stockpile.

This 74 blade is sharper by a good bit. It's by far the sharpest and most effective blade I can remember using. It's kinda like moving from a fairly mild DE blade to an Iridium . Very sharp and smooth.

They are not however, particularly forgiving blades. I found out that waltzing around like I usually do........well, I realized I had to pay more attention to detail than usual. No problem after the first 'waker upper'.....heh. I have the razor set on #3, which is plenty for me with this blade.

I love these blades. I'm glad I finally got around to trying em. A very close and comfortable shave this morning.

    Sunday Morning Shave

Hot Wash: Proraso Sul Filo Del Rasoio
Pre Shave: Proraso Crema Pre Barba
Shave Soap: Acqua Di Parma (Thank You Curtis, this Rocks!)
    Brush: Edwin Jagger Super badger
    Razor: Palmera #14 NOS
    Astringent: Alum Block
    ASB: 444
    AS Splash: Floid

Result: Although I do live "in the future" lol, my heart belongs in the past,
for I have found that all things both vintage and antique, give me far more
joy than the mass produced rubbish that abounds today.
The Palmera although a mere 20 or so years old, is always always a joy,
and the other items reflect that solid dependable quality, that seems so often lacking Nowadays
Ding Dong Chaps, Have a Great Week!!

    SHAVE ON!!

    Prep: Hot shower
SS/SC: MWF and Kiss My Face Cool Mint
    Brush: Shavemac DO1 2 band
    Razor: C-Mon
    Astringent: Humphreys Witch Hazel
    ASB: Nivea Replenishing
    AS: Pinaud Clubman

The razor belonged to my grandfather. I found this razor along with several other razors late last night while I was searching for something in my closet. It was in an old cigar box that I had placed in the closet 15 to 20 years ago and I had forgotten about these razors. It was a great find and I am glad I had not discovered them earlier. I am still fairly new to straight shaving and I would have most likely tried to clean and hone them before practicing on eBay razors and I could have damaged them.

Cool Return of the Power Trio

    Music: Throat Singing from Tuva
Razor: Robert Williams The Purist 003
    Brush: Rudy Vey Horn Custom
    Soap: Yardley Shave Soap
Astringent: Ogallala Bay Rum + Aloe Plant
    AS: Nancy Boy
Result: Watched a video of my last shave with this razor, applied what I learned to this shave. Resulted in a marked increase in BBS, especially in my trouble areas. Face lathering with this brush is a luxury. Cannot quit the Yardley. Too good.

Beautiful Seelbach Phil ...and excellent rescale. I am not a huge fan of clears, but somehow this fits it well...very well indeed
