    Razor: 8/8 Filarmonica 14
    Astringent: Thayers Peach Witch Hazel

Wow, what a great shave. This is one of the razors that I found in my closet late Saturday night. It was in an old cigar box full of razors that belonged to my grandfather who was a barber. I stored the razors away 15 to 20 years ago, well before I had ever thought of shaving with a straight razors, and I had forgotten about the box.

This was the first shave with this razor and the first time with an 8/8 razor. I loved the weight and feel of the razor.

    Default Monday Night shave!

I know! I know! There's a gold dollar in the picture. Maybe im one of the lucky ones that has one that performs just as awesome as my Friodur.

Today i test shaved 5 razors i honed. 3 Passed the test. The other 2 were to embarrassed to show their faces. Gold dollar 200 stainless steel, F.A. Clauberg Tensorial gem in real tortoise,D Peres 55

I dont know if anyone has heard of this soap. Caswell Massey 1752 But it made fantastic lather. Did not stay on my face for long but it was so slick i had a hard time streaching my skin.

I used the Clauberg and the peres for the first pass. Very nice. I left the Gold dollar to prove itself. I have found that the true test of the edge is Against the grain on my neck. Well she passed with flying colors. No touch up needed. Very pleasing shave.

    Rene

    Caswell Massey 1752 Almond
F.A. Clauberg Tensorial gem, D Peres 55 and gold dollar

    Wowww Rene,
Very nice...that's impressive . Juggling 3 razors can be quite a chore, heh?

What about the other 2? How close (or far) from shave ready were they?

I am very curious as to the hones you used and the regimen/routine for implementing them was. Just curiosity
