    Default SOTD 10/5

OK, so I cheated a little on Sunday (used a DE). Well today here in PA the shop was damp and cold so I came home tonite and warmed up with a hot shower and straight shave. A great way to start a evening.

    Default Tuesday Morning Shave!

Semogue Boar | Institut Karite + Musgo Real | Wacker Mod. 4 | Razorock | Institut Karite Balm

Yesterday's shave was night and today's was day. I touched up the Wacker on the Nani 12k last night and what a difference it made. I got an excellent shave this morning and it was effortless.

I also am really starting to like the I.K. soap. It takes a little more work, but it pays off.

    Talking SOTD

    First time sharing!

Pre-Shave: Hot Shower & A Good Scrubbing (as usual)
Razor: Dovo "Best Quality" 6/8, Full Hollow, Carbon Steel Razor
    Soap: Proraso Menthol/Eucalyptus Shave Soap
    Brush: RoyalShave Badger Hair Brush
Bowl: Just borrowing our sugar bowl. Don't have a scuttle yet.
    Strop: Brookstone Linen/Leather Strop
Aftershave: Nivea For Men Replenishing Post-Shave Balm
Results: The closest and most comfortable shave I've gotten yet in the very short while I've been using a straight razor. I got a good lather out of the soap, and even had probably about one pass worth to spare. I also absolutely love the cooling sensation I get out of the stuff as I go about my shave. I highly recommend trying it if you haven't already.

Razor looks a bit goopy in the photo because I put a little SRD camellia oil on it after I dried it.

    Prep:Hot shower with face scrub.
    Strop:SRD modular paddle strop 50 felt/50 P IV/50 P I.
    Soap:Homemade Bamboo and Teak
    Razor:Genco fluid steel 4/8
    Aftershave:Pinaud Clubman after shave lotion
Results: Super relaxing shave to end a long day.

The soap was my second batch of soap to make.
It was pretty good, much more cushion this time around.
Pretty moisturizing aswell, but I still want to get it better, so round three here coming soon.
The Razor is my first restore.
Picked it up for $15 over the phone, a day and a half of working on it and this thing is a super shaver, ultra smooth, and wicked sharp.
