    Default Wednesday morning

    Pre: Hot shower
    Razor: Aristocrat # 15
    Blade: Sharp
    Brush: New Forest silvertip
    Soap: Nannys Eucalyptus
    AS cologne: Fonex Malibu
    Result: Very clean
Wow, now weīre in business! New Forest lathered like mad this morning and Iīm pretty sure itīs my fault the two previous times it didnīt. I shaked the brush to hard earlier, this morning I only hold it with the hair down and lowered the brush down three times and stoped. I was rewarded with tons of rich nice slippery Nanny lather .

I had a pimple on the neck this morning and went for the Aristocrat, but boy, that can be one aggressive razor , I nicked myself two times and had to dial it down a bit. I got very clean though but itīs been a long time since I used a DE for the face. My DE technique has improved thanks to the straight shaving and I was rewarded with the closest DE shave ever.

    Default SOTD 10-20-10

    Prep: Hot Shower
Strop: SRD Paddle 25 coarse leather, 50 premium 1 leather
Soap: SRD Opus X (If you haven't tried this, you are missing out)
    Brush: AOS Purs Badger
    Razor: Dovo Best Quality
After Shave: Alum Block, Nivia for men ASB, Pinaud Clubman
Result: A very enjoyable shave this morning.

I've been trying "swishing" the razor in the sink and wiping the blade on a washcloth as opposed to rinsing it under the faucet. This has been nice as I can now listen to the soothing duet between razor & whiskers.

The SOTD's are looking great this week gentlemen, keep them coming!

Have a great day, you deserve it!

Everything seems to be coming up roses today. What a great shave. I'd missed my straights, but went back to the Japanese Hollow Ground "Solgen" blade and it delivered. The SRD soap was good, but I should have made a test lather before putting it to work because I think I used too much water. All the same, a great way to start the day!
