7/8 TI "Le Canadien" with faux mother of pearl scales
    Tabac SS
    24mm Silvertip brush
    Ambrose "Vintage shell" strop
    Craftsman Strop
    Thayers' SuperWH
    Proraso Balm
    Eucerin Moisturizer

Pretty good two pass shave (WTG+XTG). The razor could still use a little bit of honing I think. Since is uses hard steel (C135) I'm thinking it might need more passes on the coticule with water or lather.

Sorry about the thread hijack , but I was watching a few shaving videos on YouTube. I thought I'd share one that I found particularly interesting. I hope you find it equally interesting.
Was it the towels that you found most interesting? I thought some of the stretching/pinching of the skin was pretty good and I wondered if some of that could be done by one's self.

Also that after shave balm got a pretty good workout.

No, no...the whole shave was intriguing to me...Gino (the barber) is a pro...look at how soft and how swift his passes are . I was impressed.

Samhain, the most important period on the ancient Celtic calendar, is once again upon us. The Celts thought upon this time as the season when the veil that seperates our known world from the Netherworld to be at it's thinnest, allowing spirits to roam amongst us. The end of harvest, and a time to ponder upon our forebears that have gone on before, and can become closer... A time of reflection, and a time to look forward...

That's fabulous...Sounds like you enjoyed an überslick lather with a super close shave.

Also, thanks for sharing the info on the 1929 patent...Gotta love them.
