Tell me about it Max, I´ve had three Revisors and I seem to be out of luck re them. I love them, but I´m not sure the love is mutal . This is my second 8/8 and the only one I´ve got at the time.
Thank you Robert! It´s the new formula. I´ve heard the word, but I think it´s really good and I love the scent. It has a very good cushion effect, maybe not as slippery as I would like to have it. But overall, very good.

Week of November 28 SOTD - Saturday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Razor: 6/8" Hanamasa Kamisori, Spike Point (Yasuki steel) Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger Überlather: Al Raz' "Bay/Vetiver" Shave creme (thanks Glenn ) Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer Cologne: Creed Tabarome Millésime Result: Glenn (aka, Sharp) sent me a sample of his new custom "Bay/Vetiver" da Bomb creme by Al Raz. Terrific scent. Thank you Glenn. Of course, I don't need to spell out what kind of lather this thing produces as most of you already know...But, if you happen to still be in the minority, get off your high chair and order yourself a Bomb and see what you've been missing. For openers, I got a FANTASTIC überlather to prep the beard for the Kamisori. And the blade performed marvelously. The tip is by far the "meanest" spike in my collection and takes no prisoners. And the edge on this beauty is as sharp as you can get. I avoided nicking myself this time, but still getting used to the form with this blade. It certainly is not for the faint of heart and requires total Zen to achieve nirvana. I got a close to BBS shave, but not quite (better than last time I used this Hanamasa). So, progress seems to be moving in the right direction...A few more rounds and this blade would be mastered like the other straights in my collection. Trumper's moisturizer and Creed Tabarome provided a marvelous closure for this wonderful shave.

Have a TERRIFIC Saturday guys.

A welsh antique store sold this razor with other solingen blade (crown and sword ) the scales are broken but the blade was in a decent shape, few hours of manual sanding and the steel come back to life.....And it's easy to hone,.....what more could I ask? I put a new set of ebony scales and shazam! a fantastic razor for the SOTD and my shaves

Thank you Mikael ...I highly recommend them. However, be very careful with them. They require very careful technique (maybe initially) and watch out for their tips. They were built to look for blood. I have NEVER gotten a single nick from any of my western straights, but first day with this beauty, I get a nick.
Get one...they are awesome shavers and fun to use. But, not at the expense of ditching your other blades
Excellent blade Chris . And nice shot, as always
No sweat buddy. She's a looker
Very nice scales indeed José. Good choice
